The Role
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will help design and build the next generation of Pantas’ climate and ESG platform. You’ll own meaningful parts of our backend and/or full stack, work closely with product, business analysts, and data science, and help define what “AI-first engineering” looks like for the team.

How you’ll work with AI at Pantas

· AI-driven product workflow
- Our Business Analysts and product team use an AI PRD Agent to turn ideas into structured PRDs.
- AI then helps generate a technical implementation plan, which you refine and turn into production-ready code.
· AI-assisted coding as default
- You’ll use tools like Claude Code Max, GitHub Copilot, CodeRabbit, Google Jules and others for writing and refactoring code, generating tests and improving coverage, debugging and performance tuning.
· Design-to-code with Figma MCP
- We use Claude Code + Figma MCP to convert Figma/front-end designs into starter code, which you then clean up, harden, and ship.
· Building generative AI features
- Work with our Data Science team to build genAI-powered features for climate and ESG: data extraction via LLM, document understanding, smart workflows, decision support, etc. You’ll work with LLMs and orchestration (prompting, retrieval, agent flows) across both proprietary and open-source models.

- Join monthly AI workshops led by both the CEO and CTO on topics like advanced prompting, AI agents, RAG, embeddings, MCP, DSPy, and new toolkits. Experiment with new AI infra and platforms (Databricks, OpenRouter, SageMaker, Vertex AI, etc.) as we evolve our stack.
What you’ll get to do
· Design, build, and maintain scalable backend and/or full-stack services for our platform.
· Turn AI-generated PRDs and implementation plans into secure, robust, production-grade systems.
· Integrate with external systems (banks, partners, customer data sources) and ensure data is clean, consistent, and auditable.
· Ship AI-assisted workflows and features that help customers collect, validate, and analyse their data.
· Collaborate with product, business analysts, and data science to rapidly prototype via AI, then iteratively refine into stable features.
· Contribute to system architecture, coding standards, and our AI engineering playbook for Pantas.
· Mentor other engineers in using AI tools effectively and help raise the bar for AI-native engineering across the team.
What you’ll need to succeed
· Solid experience (typically 3-5 years) as a software engineer in backend or full-stack roles, comfortable owning features end-to-end.
· Strong skills in at least one modern backend stack (e.g. Python/Django, Node.js, etc.) and experience with SQL databases.
· Experience building web applications or APIs used in production environments.
