System Operator

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

 Diploma or above in Computer

Science or related discipline

 Minimum 4 years working experience

 Sound experience in AS/400, Control

M, Microsoft Azure, AWS Cloud.

 Holder of ITIL V3 Foundation

certificate is preferable.

KNOWLEDGE & TECHNICAL SKILLS

 Good interpersonal and

communication skills to handle both

internal and external customers.

 Good command of both written and

spoken English and Chinese.

Proficiency in the Japanese language

would be an added advantage.

 7*24 Shift duty is required

The work schedule is 12-hour shifts

for four days, followed by four days

off, including weekends and public

holidays.

COMPETENCIES

 To manage shift workers

productivity and assign duties

to staff during shifts and

manage incidents.

PURPOSE

 Operates system by responding to

console messages and handling system

monitoring, batch processing and online

request. Compliance with standards,

policies and standard operating

procedures. Assist on IT project

implementation.

KEY ACCOUNTAIBILITIES

 Operate the Cloud environments in

compliance with standards, policies and

Standard Operating Procedures.

 The provision of overnight and weekend

production batch/output processing and

related problem resolution.

 Managing backup systems, performing

daily health checks, Monitoring and

handling ad-hoc requests.

 Ensuring all changes within or affecting

the computer room space are effectively

evaluated for the potential impacts or

risks to cloud operations from proposed

changes to production and development

systems.

 Assist on special projects

implementation, support and

coordination with the IT project teams. 

 Notifying the participants in the incidents

related to Cloud operations in a timely

and appropriate fashion.

 Facilitating the resolution of issues related

Cloud operations.
